| I love stew! I usually would have added spinach as well but I was too lazy today :-P paired up with a salad it's a yummy warm supper for a rainy day. |
Upon request here is the recipe :-)
(all the amounts are approximate since I actually just throw things in and don't measure anything except the cornstarch :-P )
you can also use fresh veggies instead of frozen... some of the beans in there were left overs from supper the night before :-)
10sm or 5lg Potatoes Washed and Cubed (no need to peel them)
3 -4 cups frozen chopped beans
2 cups frozen corn
1 lb of stew beef (or if you are cheap like me then 1/2lb of stew beef :-P)
One 300g pkg frozen chopped spinach (not in the picture)
Put all veggies and meat in a 9x13 dish
Sauce:
2 tbsp cornstarch mix with a little cold water till dissolved
one cube McCormick's bouillon beef style dissolved in a little bit of boiling water
combine cornstarch and bouillon and add water till there is 2cups of liquid pour over potatoes and veggies, sprinkle garlic powder and paprika and mix it all up.
Bake covered at 400 for an hour.
Enjoy :-)
