So I'm not the most dedicated blogger there is out there :-P I've been thinking of stopping this blogging thing, I haven't quite decided yet... I'm just wondering if anyone reads and or enjoys these posts and that isn't my friend on facebook? Cuz if there isn't anyone then I may just go back to posting pictures on facebook instead. Please leave a comment if you would like me to continue blogging :-)
(Nadine, I can't find how to add the anonymous button under comments. Can you walk me through it? Thanks) :-)

Oliver
Here are a few pics of our new little kitten Oliver. He is a cross between a ragdoll and (I don't remember the name of the breed, I'll edit it when I do) Which are both fairly docile breeds so I'm hoping this kitten won't turn into a nylon scratching, curtain climbing, foot chasing, selfish cat... what I kinda want is a more dog like cat... nice, people pleasing, affectionate cat... I haven't had very great experiences with cats so far, so we'll see... :-P
The kids LOVE Oliver! and Oliver seems to love the attention! Point 1 for the kitten... he also likes to snuggle on my lap and take a nap - another point for the kitten :-) I'm starting to fall in love! He also doesn't shed that much - I haven't had to pick it's hair off my clothes yet, and I wore black today! Another point for the kitten! (the ragdoll breed (it's mama) doesn't shed that much, I'm not sure about the other breed (it's dad)).
Ok here are some pictures now.

Family down from MB for a long weekend
Wow! Such a fun weekend! Here is just a quick rundown of what we did :-)
Friday: Mom, Dad and some sibs arrived, unpacked and settled in.
We took Mom and Dad B out to Chianti's for an anniversary supper, Sherene and Rachel came too. :-)
Saturday: Dad and the boys headed to the waterpark, Rachel went to work, Mom and Sherene Shopped. Matthew and I had to run some errands so we caught up with everyone (except Rach) at noon for lunch. then we shopped with Mom and Sherene till 4ish, then Matthew, Miriam, Dylan, Sherene and I picked up Rach from work and headed home to make supper.
Sunday: Went to both services and had 26 people for supper :-) Super fun!
Monday: Relaxed in the morning, a few went out for breakfast, the rest stayed home for bacon and eggs. We then headed to Fort Edmonton Park for the afternoon.
And that was the end of the weekend :-( I'm super sad to see them go but, we did have an amazing, busy but, yet, sometimes relaxed time while they were here :-) Can't wait to see them in the fall D.V.
Now, some pictures! :-) I kinda forgot most of the weekend to take pictures... so, most of these are from Monday.
Checking out Mom/Nana's new toy!

Some pics from at home

Fort Edmonton Park!
A train ride!

Dylan checking out the chickens.

This post wouldn't be complete without a pic of an old light ;-)

(I stole these two pics from Sherene cuz I didn't take any pics of this)
Miriam petting a horse!!! She has been so interested in horses for the last few months! I thought Miriam would be to scared to pet them but, Nana didn't :-) and Miriam LOVED it! So cool! We are going to have to take her for some pony rides this summer! (Anyone know a good place?)

A super nice horse... although he didn't seem to like Leighton too much, lol!

Miriam was a little to scared to touch the black one :-P But as you can see by her face she was still VERY excited to be so close to a horse!

Love, love, loved this house!

Byron missing his GF :-P

Becca trying to catch a quick nap (she had been up since 3:30am)

Sreetcar!

Dylan LOVING all the old cars!

Mom peeking into a shop window, Rachel washing her leg... it's a long story that involves Sherene, Rachel and a sneezing horse :-P

Getting a candy no doubt :-P

Trying to stay awake after such a busy day :-)

New Bench
Yay!! Matthew built a bench for in our kitchen! Now we can fit more kids around the table! Miriam is VERY impressed with her Daddy! (I'm super impressed with Matthew too!) I'm so glad Matthew could make a custom bench in there cuz, there were three plugs he had to work around, a small space, and I could keep my cubbies, the bottom one is now a potato and onion bin :-)
There is still a little finishing to be done on it but, we thought it would be nice to have it in before my family comes tomorrow :-)
Before

After
The highchair even fits on the bench and I can attach the tray! Now there is way more space for people around our table :-) And I can still put another leaf in the table and a few more chairs around when company comes. :-)

Miranda Panda
This one's for my 'big - little' sister Miranda :-)
The pattern is out of the same book that I made my elephant one from. When I seen the panda's I thought of you so, I had to make it for you!
I'll send it back with Mom and Dad this weekend :-) Hope you like it :-)

Miriam holding it so you have a bit of an idea of size... Although, she's holding it away from her so it looks quite a bit bigger than it is.

Dylan thought it was very unfair that Miriam was allowed to hold Mommy's cross-stitch and he wasn't... So, here is one for size with Dylan holding it (this one is more accurate cuz he was holding it closer to him) :-)

New cabinet - Love Ikea :-)
I love shopping at Ikea! I went there with the kids and my mil this weekend and picked up this nifty cabinet. It's supposed to be for shoes but, I'll use it for flyers and loose papers etc. It's very thin so it fits very nicely in our smallish front entry. (I'd had my eye on it for almost 2 months :-P)
I really really wanted to keep the airy feel of the living room/entry so I didn't want to stick anything there that would take up too much space. We considered a bench but, I was scared I would stub my toe on it all the time :-S.
Ikea usually has such great space saving organization cabinets etc. (Although, some of their stuff just make a room a bit to 'cluttery' for me). I could have gotten my Dad or Matthew to make somethings similar for me but, I wasn't sure it would be that much less expensive and I'm a wee bit impatient, I really wanted to get something soon.
