Nice Weather

We have had some great weather this past week. Below are 2 pictures taken a week apart. :-)

This picture was taken April 1st 2013 - exactly a week after the one above... So much has melted!

We did get a little water in our basement - in the laundry room - because the nice drainage pipe for the patio Matthew put in last summer froze up :-( (The patio is the lowest point in the yard, so naturally most of the water ends up there.) For the past week we've been vacuuming the water up with our wet/dry vac, and hopefully the pipe thaws out soon. Matthew has plans to prevent it from freezing in the future, but that means he'll have to dig it up again this summer...
I hope your basements have stayed dry, and you are all enjoying spring :-)

The only reason the kids were allowed to play in the FRONT yard is because Matthew was chipping away at the ice so the water flows onto the road and doesn't make the sidewalk a skating rink :-)

Monday

Monday's around here aren't very pretty... the house is usually a mess from the weekend, the laundry needs to be done, the children are cranky from staying up too late on Fri, Sat, Sun nights, we have to go grocery shopping, and then there's the stuff that didn't get done on the 'to do' list from last week...
 Here are a few pics from today's Monday...

Let's start with a happy baby :-) (Obviously when I said cranky kids I didn't mean ALL day - there are a few happy spurts) :-) 

My kitchen could use some work... the dishwasher is full of clean dishes I haven't put away yet, the floor is full of crumbs, and the counter is full of dirty dishes :-(

3 Happy kids outside :-) These kids played outside most of the morning :-)  (the one in the red coat is a little 5 yr old I bbsit) :-)

The toys are everywhere, and the floors need to be vacuumed/swept...

Most of the bedrooms look like this, piles of clothes, garbage and the laundry needs to be done...  (The brown meleluca boxes in the change table still have to be covered in girly fabric... )

But... like most Monday's - even though it's messy in here, it sure smells good :-) Monday is bread baking day :-)

This is where Lydia stands when the kids go outside to play. She likes to make 'pictures' on the window :-) She really, really likes it if the kids put some snow on the mat for her to play with :-)

11 Weeks

 Ok, so I'm 11 weeks tomorrow... but whatever :-D

This pregnancy I've been feeling pretty good, I still have the regular nauseousness, but I've been able to keep up with the housework, getting up at 6, making lunches, suppers etc. My previous pregnancies Matthew made his own lunch during the 1st and 3rd trimesters, and he also made 3+ suppers a week during those trimesters :-D BeSt HuSbAnD eVeR! This doesn't mean I'm feeling better than the other pregnancies but I think it's because I'm babysitting so many kids this pregnancy. If I don't keep on top of things, this place will be a dump in a few days. I'm so busy I don't really have time to think about how crappy I feel, and sulk around. I kinda like it this way :-P Although, I'll be happy when this month is over and I'm done babysitting the 2 girls everyday :-)

Here are a few things about my pregnancy this time around... :-)

Weight Gain:  -4lbs

Maternity Clothes: Yup - I've been wearing maternity pants since my 7th week. I don't normally get very big so I only have a few maternity tops for the last month or so.

Sleep: Yup, I get to sleep :-) My one year old is a great sleeper, so she hasn't caused any problems, and other than getting up to pee at least once every night, sleep has been great.

How I'm feeling: Tired, I'm usually in bed by 9pm and up at 6am. 2-3 times a week I get a nap, the other day's I just lay down for a 1/2hr or so. :-)

Belly Button: It's never popped out before, so I'm expecting it to stay this pregnancy as well.

What I miss: Getting up at 5am... Ya that's a weird one lol. But, that was my devotion time, and lately I can't get to bed any earlier, and just can't seem to drag my butt out of bed at 5 :-( Trying to squeeze in my personal devotions at other times during the day works ok, but it's not near as quiet, and I usually am interrupted by little children's questions, or a poopy diaper or a toilet overflowing or something like that :-P 

What I'm looking forward too: Holding this little one in my arms :-) I wish my sisters lived closer so I could snuggle all their little ones :-)

Size of Baby: Almost the size of a fig.

Nesting: As a mother of 3 (and I babysit 3... not all of them everyday though) I'm not sure what to say is nesting, and what is cleaning up... lol To keep this place neat I'm constantly going through everything :-S


What did I do with my kids so I could get this computer time?? locked them up... hahaha :-D Just kidding, I didn't do this - they voluntarily jumped in here and stayed there the entire time I was posting this, and they didn't even have breakfast yet! Love my kids! I better go make breakfast now :-D

8 Weeks

I was 8 weeks on Friday! I'm showing a little already.. at least I think so :-P
This is not the greatest pic (it's a self timer pic). But in my defense, I was trying to tell the kids to stay out of the way while I was setting up, and standing there waiting for the camera to click the picture :-P  I'll try post weekly pics this time.. but we'll see, I'm not so great at regularly posting on my blog :-P
